The scheduled presentation by René tomorrow is being postponed until March. At this time an exact date has not been determined yet, but it will be announced as soon as possible.
We received another complimentary email about Rene’s lecture in Key West last week. This time from Pat Lenny:
“Every time I walk down the street someone comes up to me to tell me how much they loved your talk. You are always a hit! Your book is just beautiful and makes us want to take a trip to Palm Beach.”
This past Sunday our book “Villa Mizner: the house that changed Palm Beach” was once again at the top of the bestseller list at Main Street News (https://www.facebook.com/mainstreetnews). It is the fourth time our book appears on this list, and the second time it tops the list.
We are now gearing up for the short lecture to the Rotary Club Luncheon this Thursday at noon at the Chesterfield Hotel (www.chesterfieldpb.com). We visited there on Monday to test the equipment, and all seems to be ready to go. And of course the next big lecture will be at the Preservation Foundation of Palm Beach on Thursday February 26th at 2 PM.
We are very excited that Rene has been booked by Derek from Pied Piper Travel (www.piedpipertravel.com), to lecture on the Queen Mary 2 this December when it crosses from Southampton, UK, to New York, US. Pied Piper Travel is the premier agency for gay and lesbian group cruises, serving the LGBT community for over 20 years. Rene will give three lectures in all: one on the Duchess of Windsor, one on Addison Mizner, and he will inaugurate his new lecture on the SS Normandie for the first time on this crossing.
In the meantime, sales on Amazon.com have been steady, with several orders coming in each week.
