Aristotle Onassis (1906 -1975) was one of the Twentieth Century\u2019s wealthiest and most famous men and is widely credited for having invented the \u201csuper tanker.\u201d\u00a0 Coming from a poor background, he attributed his success to always using other people\u2019s funds and to being tanned before entering negotiations. He eventually controlled the Principality of Monaco where he kept the world\u2019s first mega yacht, the 325-foot Christina<\/em>.<\/strong><\/h3>

Onassis had two wives. His first marriage to the glamorous Athena \u201cTina\u201d Livanos, consolidated her father\u2019s shipping empire with Onassis\u2019 burgeoning fleet. Tina bore two children, Alexander (1948-1973) and Christina (1950 \u2013 1988), both childhood friends of Ren\u00e9\u2019s. In 1968 \u201cThe Golden Greek\u201d, as Ari was known, married then-widowed Jacqueline Kennedy on his private island Skorpios. This marriage always overshadowed by Onassis\u2019 long-term mistress, the world-famous opera star, Maria Callas, known as \u201cLa Divina. \u201c<\/strong><\/h3>

Onassis died at the American Hospital of Paris, which Ren\u00e9 was running at the time. Ren\u00e9 will bring the audience many personal anecdotes about Ari, Alexander and Cristina\u2019s tragic lives and their untimely deaths, in what can only be described the most heart-breaking Greek tragedy.<\/strong><\/h3> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n
