Motown founder Berry Gordy took them under his wing, and created unforgettable music history with songs like <em>Where Did Our Love Go<\/em>, <em>Stop! In the Name of Love<\/em>, and <em>Some Day We\u2019ll Be Together<\/em>. But Diana was never meant to be just one of a trio, so after a decade and 12 number one hits, she set out on a solo career in 1970.<\/strong><\/h3><h3 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>The first decade of her career saw musical highlights with number one hits like <em>Ain\u2019t No Mountain High Enough<\/em>and <em>Do You Know Where You\u2019re Going To<\/em>. But she also proved herself to be an accomplished actress, garnering an Oscar nomination for her portrayal of Billie Holiday in <em>Lady Sings the Blues<\/em>.<\/strong><\/h3><h3 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Finding more self-confidence and business acumen, she left Berry Gordy and Motown behind to continue with a string of hit albums in the 1980s.
